ONE WORLD, ONE VOICE
Not just a speck of dust in a swirling, gathering mass
The earth is where life abounds
God has created to be enjoyed by mankind.
You and me although not binded by the same blood,
Black or white, yellow or brown
One world, one voice
To stand up and be at peace together is our only choice.
Who likes terrorism and all those selfish schemes?
No one deserves to die innocently
Out of brutal killings and vicious plots done mercilessly
One world, one voice,
Stop these envious mockeries
And help one another than be divided incessantly.
All those lives lost in horrifying terrorist attacks,
Their souls will forever be remembered
The reasons behind the evil acts forever be pondered.
Lay to eternal rest our brethren
Who have suffered sudden, tragic deaths,
We pray none of those similar occurrence
Befall again anywhere.
PEACE
STARTS WITHIN ME
Almost all people want to
change the world
But no one wants to change
himself,
Leo Tolstoy once said
Out of the bruises and scars
of society,
The permanent marks of crime
and fatality
We always ask ourselves what’s
going on with humanity,
But have we ever pondered on
and uttered “peace should start within me”?
Living in a world of chaos
Is not what the Almighty
wants His beloved children to be in,
But to live in pure harmony,
not shedding blood and tears
Caring for each other, no
prosecution of our own brothers,
Delude envy with genuine love
and erase each other’s fears
Peace starts within me, I
need to purify my soul first,
Before healing the ill world
around me.
Hear the cry of even the
unborn children
Of generations to come in
bewilderment,
Prepare a world enveloped
with love and contentment
Be good examples through good
deeds and sincere words,
Say no to wars that leave no
winners but just ugly scars
Stop selfish motives and be
our brother’s keepers,
Wake up to a renewed world
clothed in PEACE, LOVE and LIGHT!
LET
PEACE REIGN
The world nowadays needs
everlasting peace
As wars everywhere continue
to plague mankind,
The greed for power and might
And religious differences
abound
Destroying properties, killing
innocent lives,
What must we do to heal this
ailing world
But to purify ourselves first
Obtain inner peace among
ourselves,
To let peace reign in our
hearts
And to bring light to our
bewildered souls.
