Standing, Nicole took a breath of the fresh Autumn
air. For the first time in years, she was happy and content with her life. It
had been a long, hard battle bouncing back since her divorce over two years
ago. She hoped to never go back to the place of deep depression an anxiety,
ever again.
She had been married for a long time. They had
conquered many things together and raised their family. Over time though, their
lives changed and they drifted away from each other. They had tried their best
but it was time to throw in the towel and to move on.
It was a great adjustment for Nicole. After 26 years,
she no longer had anyone to come home to, and to take care of. The children
were grown now and had families of their own. The divorce was simple and
discreet. However, the emotion and anxiety of love and loss, had caused a deep
depression and a lack of trust for Nicole.
So she came back home, a place where she hoped to
recuperate and to learn to rid herself of the depression, anxiety and panic
attacks. Looking out at the scenery in front of her, she knew that she had made
the right decision. She loved the beautiful autumn and the crisp fresh
air. It reminded her of a time when she was young and carefree.
Nicole was ready to fall in love again. Gingerly, she stepped out of her comfort zone. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life alone. She missed feeling love and affection and knowing that she had someone to come home to.
She ran into him a few
days later. He came into her office one day. He was very handsome and rugged
looking. His eyes were a clear blue and he had a beautiful smile. One that
would warm up a person on a
cold day. The way he looked at her made Nicole feel alive and brought a blush to her cheeks.

Soon his sense of humor and love and affection won
her over. She was happy again.
