    CAPITALISM AND THE REST OF MANKIND.

    What they told us about Capitalism:
    We were told capitalism creates wealth,
    we were told capitalism brings the
    best in man, and
    with it, individual’s potentials
    are certainly attainable;
    we were told individual dreams and
    aspirations easily come to fruition
    in a capitalist society

    Before now, we were informed-
    capitalism defeats poverty,
    enthrones prosperity;
    in time long past,
    we were always reminded-
    capitalism-is the only vehicle to-
    the Promised Land;
    more so, the only key
    to man secured future.

    Even to this day,
    we receive daily sermon:
    “no alternative to capitalism”-
    the scepter of liberty,
    the staff of  freedom, and
    the sword of justice;
    day-by-day, media keep us focus:
    no capitalism, no tomorrow for man.

    Continuously, capitalism’s
    four assumed siblings-
    peace, prosperity, freedom, and
    liberty- have become
    permanent campaign
    catchphrase and slogan;
    a false claim sold to hoodwink
    man,
    hemlock, they forced down
    people’s throat.

    The Sad Reality of Capitalism
    in today’s World:

    Capitalism-a perfected tool of servitude-
    servitude of international magnitude,
    servitude without borders;
    mace in hands of political gladiators,
    instrument of oppression in hands of
    merchants without conscience.

    A subjugation apparatus of greed
    in mammon controlled  world,
    a look-good-tool in society where
    mind is psychologically re-configured.

    A double edged sword,
    that establishes and sustains
    class division among
    haves and have nots;
    a well-designed scheme meant
    to “rob Peter to pay Paul.”

    The Future of Capitalism and Man:

    Now with ease, the world is within reach,
    daily, artificial and natural barriers are
    given way;
    controlling world wealth by
    powerful few is-
    becoming simpler, easier, and
    faster than before.

    Will liberation theology help in
    this matter?
    Turning pulpits or lecterns
    to campaign fora on evils-
    of capitalism-will it save matter?
    Will social gospel provides
    lasting solution-by turning
    issues of social injustice-
    into a moral force?

    Will world leaders ever budge?
    Will human rights, social justice
    advocates,
    perhaps, global socio-political
    bodies help?
    Only time will tell-
    what more harm-capitalism and
    their exponents will cause
    mankind.

    However, time is running OUT
    for a concept and system without
    “human face,” human heart,
    touch of  kindness;
    a non-giving, but rather
    a receiving human created concept-
    that has no human personality.

    EBOLA: THE RE-EMERGING BLACK PLAGUE?
    Back in History:
    It was October 1347,
    instead of merchandise of
    silk and cotton
    from Asia and Black Sea region,
    twelve Genoese merchant ships delivered
    undesirable cargoes of corpses;
    undelectable gift  and present
    at Italian port of Sicily,
    in the  city of Messina.

    A gift that turned a curse-
    a pandemic disease of
    international dimension;
    a bubonic disease of groin,
    a pneumonic disease of lung, and
    more so, a flea and rodent
    carrying disease,
    which ravaged Europe,
    destroyed Asia, and decimated Africa.

    Within ten years down the road,
    Europe had lost about
    hundred million souls of its own;
    a loss that took Europe
    another 150 years to recover.

    Today in History:

    About forty years ago,
    at Nzara, Sudan and
    Yambuku, Congo at
    Ebola River tributary in Africa-
    we were told, five Ebola species
    were discovered.

    Zaire ebolavirus-one of the
    quintet viral carrying diseases
    the most dangerous is
    like the 14th-century-bacillus-
    Yersina-Pestis-the carrier-agent of
    Black Plague.

    From then on,
    Ebola-a-death-dealing-virus
    has created a notorious personality,
    personality of affliction-
    turned to both political and
    economic gains around world capitals;
    by international bloodsuckers:
    money before common good-
    pharmaceutical industrial complex.

    Ebola a thread-like-viral-infection,
    whenever in action, it can bring
    a nation on its knees;
    shut down a government,
    makes ships stand-still at deep sea,
    crash-land jumbo-jets,
    de-rails a-thousand-coach-train.

    Ebola, once mentioned
    man becomes fearful,
    when Ebola sneezes,
    man- anywhere he is-
    catches cold.

    Ebola-the cruel and tormentor-
    its presence leaves nothing good,
    but trail of woes, anguish, cry, and pain;
    a bitter pill that leaves sour
    taste in mouth for a long
    time to come.

    Mankind and the Future of
    Ebola:

    Ebola-the double-
    stranded Ribonucleic Acid (RNA),
    a monster that turns all
    scientific solutions to naught,
    a giant that makes
    scientists look like Lilliputians.

    Ebola fear by all,
    but hated by everyone-
    is now on global rampage;
    it carries no passport-
    freely, it enters country of choice-
    Ebola pays no fare,
    yet, it rides on public transport-
    anytime, anywhere, any day.

    Is Ebola the modern day-
    Pandora of Greek mythology-
    whose disobedience resulted
    in evils  escaping from-
    do-not-open-box in her care?

    Or is EBOLA-the new
    found acronym:
    Everything, But Our Life At
    risk,
    because of man’s moral
    decadence, permissiveness
    and lust?

    Whichever way, pray
    Ebola without cure has
    not come to stay,
    even as Ebola made it on
    list of seven world deadliest
    diseases;
    pray,  Ebola should not  join
    the league of: AIDS, cancer,
    diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and
    Alzheimer.

    Because the world has
    more than enough problems
    in hand to deal  WITH.

    TIGER: THE GRANDEUR OF THE JUNGLE.

    From nose tip to tail end,
    is the eleven-foot-cat,
    the Tiger-the largest among
    big cats in the wild.

    A cat of extra-ordinary beauty-
    whose second double name is:
    power and strength;
    Tiger-identify by dark-vertical stripes-
    usually individualized pattern
    on a-white-brown-tawny
    background-
    is perhaps, the only prince and
    prodigy of the jungle.

    Tiger! Tiger!! Tiger!!!
    Most elusive cat in the jungle-
    with a pretext look,
    is constantly disaffirm by its-
    dangerously calculative steps.
    A ferocious animal
    that hides its aggressive traits
    until provoked,
    and once nettled-
    the jungle becomes corybantic.

    A cat with personalized coats
    that help it camouflage
    in surroundings similar to its colors,
    which makes attack on prey
    unquestionably easy.

    Tiger known by surprise
    rear attack from its hide out,
    always go for a big hunt,
    but won’t initiate pursuit-
    where eye-to-eye contact
    is already established.

    Tiger-the swimmer,
    animal with thermoregulation-
    a rare feature to keep
    body temperature in check
    after strenuous engagements.

    Animal of unusual features,
    endowed with papillae-
    a double function body part-
    a tongue protective covering and
    a toothed instrument to confine hair.
    Very rare, yes-its saliva-has
    antiseptic properties to cure, heal, and
    manage wounds.

    A solitary animal,
    that satisfies sexual needs
    through flehmen and
    scent marking;
    animal whose sexual organ
    and exploits still bemuse humans
    to this day.

    Animal of uncommon intellect-
    identify by short term memory,
    several times longer than man-
    even better than dogs and  other
    primates;
    handiwork of brain synapses,
    tiger forgets less,
    but remembers more.

    A very ambitious,
    but radically territorial-
    it sprays urine to map out
    territory,
    mark trees and trails with
    dungeon to define hunting and
    living abode.

    Animal of multiple sounds,
    as it roars-so it moans;
    known by chuffing and
    purring,
    just to deceive and lure prey
    in the wild.

    Will mankind,
    allow the prince of jungle
    go extinct?
    Shall we allow the
    rainbow of the jungle
    go extinct without traces?

    All men and women of
    goodwill around the globe-
    may you shout in unison:
    Let Tiger live!

    Let the elegant and
    prodigy of-
    Southeast Asia live!

    Let the grandeur of
    Indochinese and
    Korea survive.
    Siberia-let this cat of
    special make-LIVE.
